Getting a refund

Who to ask for your money back depends on where you subscribed. Here's the route for iPhone and for Android, and how to stop the next charge.

iPhone
Android
Web

Your payment went to Apple or to Google, not to us, so the refund starts with whichever store you subscribed through. Both routes are short.

Jump to what you need:

Not sure which one you are? Check which phone you first signed up on. That's the store holding the payment.

If you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad

Apple handles these. We can't refund an App Store charge ourselves. Apple usually answers within 24 to 48 hours.

The quickest way: any browser

This works on any phone or computer, whatever version of iOS you're on.

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with the Apple Account that made the purchase. You may need a verification code from your phone.
  3. Open the I'd like to menu and choose Request a refund
  4. Pick a reason, then tap Next
  5. Choose the Myndo charge from the list, then tap Submit

Apple emails you to confirm the request.

From your iPhone or iPad

Same form, reached from the App Store.

  1. Open the App Store app
  2. Tap your photo in the top corner, or the sign-in button
  3. Tap Purchase History. On iPad, tap Apps & Purchase History first.
  4. Can't see the charge? Tap Last 90 days and choose a wider range.
  5. Tap the Myndo charge, then tap Report a Problem
  6. That opens the refund form. Choose Request a refund, pick a reason, then Submit.

If your App Store looks different to this, go to Settings → your name → Media & Purchases instead. On older versions of iOS that row is called iTunes & App Store. If none of it looks familiar, use the browser method above. That one never changes.

From Apple's receipt email

Apple emails a receipt for every charge. Search your inbox for receipt from Apple, open it, and tap Report a Problem at the bottom. It takes you straight to the right charge.

What happens next

Apple reviews the request and emails you, usually within 24 to 48 hours. If it's approved, the money goes back to the card or account you paid with, which can take a few more days to land depending on your bank. You can check the status any time at reportaproblem.apple.com.

If you subscribed on an Android phone

Google splits this by timing. The first 48 hours are Google's; after that it comes to us.

Within 48 hours of the charge

Ask Google:

  1. Go to play.google.com
  2. At the top right, click your profile picture
  3. Click Payments & subscriptions, then Budget & order history
  4. Find the Myndo order and click Report a problem
  5. Select the option that describes your situation
  6. Complete the form and say that you'd like a refund
  7. Click Submit

Google also has a direct shortcut: Request a refund.

You'll usually get a decision within a day, though it can take up to four. Sending the same request again won't speed it up.

More than 48 hours ago

Google only takes refund requests in the first 48 hours. After that it points you at the app developer, which is us. Write to support@myndo.ai with the date and the amount and we'll pick it up from there.

After you send the request

If Google approves, the money returns to your original payment method. If it comes to us instead, we'll reply by email. Either way you don't need to do anything in the app.

Stopping the next charge

Important: A refund undoes one charge. It doesn't cancel your membership.

If you don't want to be billed again, cancel as well.

iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Myndo → Cancel Subscription

Mac: open the App Store, click your name, then Account Settings → Subscriptions → Cancel Subscription

Android phone: open Subscriptions in Google Play, select Myndo, tap Cancel subscription, then follow the instructions

Computer, Google account: go to Subscriptions in Google Play, click Manage next to Myndo, click Cancel subscription, choose a reason, then click Continue

You keep your access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel anything. More on this in Managing or cancelling your membership.

If something goes wrong

The charge isn't in the list. You're probably signed in with a different account. On Apple, search your email for "receipt from Apple" or "invoice from Apple" to see which Apple Account was charged. On Android, check whether you bought it on another Google Account.

The charge is too new. A pending charge can't be refunded until it finishes processing. Wait for the receipt email, then try again.

Someone in your family bought it. If you organize Apple Family Sharing, sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com, tap the Apple Account button, and choose All to see family members' purchases.

You don't recognize the charge at all. If nobody you know made it, report it as unauthorized rather than asking for a refund. Apple: contact Apple Support. Google: report it within 120 days of the transaction.

Your request was turned down. Write to us at support@myndo.ai and we'll pick it up from there.
